Andrie Inc. Partners with USCG 9th District in Area PREP Exercise


MUSKEGON, Michigan – On August 23 & 24, 2011, Matthew Stump, Manager, HSSE participated in the U.S. Coast Guard 9th District “Detroit River Readiness 2011” along the Detroit-Windsor Corridor.  The Detroit River Readiness 2011 exercise scenario involved a terrorist attack resulting in 400 victims and a spill of over 200,000 gallons of oil.

Andrie partnered as one of the lead participants with the U.S. Coast Guard, along with 65 other federal, state, and local agencies from both the United States and Canada for the Preparedness Response Exercise Program (PREP), oil spill response portion of the exercise.

The exercise tasked participants with making difficult decisions while carrying out essential functions and to maintain a common operating picture during an incident of international significance.

Coast Guard Sector Detroit Captain Ogden thanked Andrie for taking part in this extensive exercise.
